Mauritian Blog of the Year 2008

The good news which was announced this evening :

yashvinblogs.com has been voted as the Maurian Blog of the Year 2008 with 30% of votes!

The competition was organised by the blog IslandCrisis, and it started a few days ago. Voting was closed today itself.

Dakshinee finished at the 2nd position (23%) and Dhaneesha got 6% of the votes, despite being a blogger since only a few months.

Some months ago, I was also given the Emperor Blogger Award after a small survey among the Mauritian Bloggers.

A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE
who took some time to vote me and also, Dakshinee and Dhaneesha.

I feel that Mauritius is indeed getting more and more into the cyberculture with the interests that we, Mauritians, show towards blogs.

The number of bloggers is on the rise, as well as the number of readers, which are not only growing but also more willing to participate into the different blogs.

    @Lost wanderer : Effectively, there were persons who tried and even succeeded to cheat in the polls.
    Despite that different actions were taken, I still agree that the voting system may not be giving the real votes.
    But I think that, from the beginning itself, I was in the first place throughout the vote.

    Anyway, lets hope that for next year, a more reliable survey can be done.
