Total Tap Plein : Lottery draw postponed (2010)
Initially scheduled for the 10th January 2010, the draw (with a Peugeot 308 as Star Prize) has been postponed to the 28th January 2010 for unknown reasons.
It is a bit disappointing that the reasons have not been mentioned and above all, the same communiqué includes a critical notice. The company has published a series of lottery numbers which will not be eligible to participate in the draw, once more without any further explanations or reasons mentioned. Those who have any tickets with the numbers mentioned MUST exchange them at the Total head office in Port Louis at their own cost!
Different dates for the draw
Yes, I wrote 10th January 2010 because that’s the date printed on the ticket (at least the one I am holding now) and the press communiqué talks about the draw which had to take place on 12th January 2010!
Error on their behalf? Still I have not seen any erratum published…
I may be wrong but I find this unfair (if not suspicious) and as I said above, disappointing!!!
Details about the ticket:
For every Rs500 spent in a Total fuel station from 22nd August 2009 to 21 December 2009, the person was eligible for a lottery ticket. At the start of the above said period, the customers were required to write their name, address and telephone number on the ticket but I think that the organisers(or whoever) later realised that this took too much time and time = money! Finally, the tickets were handed without the need for any contact details!
