Hello dear readers!
If you are among those who need to resume work tomorrow (or even today), you are probably envying those who are still on holidays till the end of this festive week. But I have something that can put a smile to your face right now.
According to the official list of public holidays for the year 2012, only 2 out of the 15 holidays fall during weekends!
On top of that, since we are already on the 2nd, only 1 of the 13 public holidays might* fall during the weekend. Isn’t that great? * = We can be blessed with another public holiday during working days if Eid-Ul-Fitr falls on Monday instead of Sunday. Update : The Eid-Ul-Fitr is being celebrated on the Monday, 20th August 2012 because of the visibility of the moon.
Bonne rentrée 2012 to everyone and keep rocking!
Ena imper lundi ek vendredi! top long weekend

Do you have a link to an official source for these dates and also for the coming future years.
I am doing a Mauritian holiday file for the KDE desktop. I need to know which holidays are fixed and which one varies and how they are calculated
