Is uploading pictures on Facebook a nightmare?
For some unknown reasons, most of my uploads using the default facebook picture uploader either fail or take too much time, and then fail (again) at the last second.
This java application’s interface isn’t nice either and it doesn’t offer much features to the Facebook user, who is eager to share his pictures quickly without much effort. Without a basic knowledge of some graphics package like Adobe Photoshop, it is also difficult for a normal web user to modify his pictures, add some fancy effects and text. And the Simple Facebook uploader is even worse 
Enter Picasa and Picasa Uploader
But since a few days, I have been experimenting a plugin called “Picasa Uploader” which allows you to upload directly to Facebook using Picasa. lol, the name says it all.
It is pretty simple and fast, download picasa here and the plugin here.
Few words about Picasa
For those who don’t know about Picasa, it is a Google product giving you up to 1 GB free space for your pics.
I have been using Picasa for quite some time, allowing me to upload my photo shoots as soon as I reached home, without any need to monitor what’s going on the screen. Some features I like about Picasa are ;
- Nice Picasa Interface with easy tools for modifying your pictures, organizing your albums and simply great way to view them.
- Quick selection and upload
- Highly secured area for displaying your pictures, i.e you can select and send invites to those whom you want to show the pictures.
- And now, integration with Facebook

For those who still struggle to organise and upload their pictures, give Picasa a try, it is a completely different world…

didnt know till now that we could upload photos from Picasa to FB…for flickr, i prefer to use the Flickr Uploadr tool rather than uploading photos directly from the website as it takes too much times and sometimes the photos fail to be uploaded

picassa is really gud since some months am using it and no coments….okun souci d’upload. as an application for pics bein wow c tro bon,au bureau zt tou in install sa.

Have you tried LiveUploader plugin with Windows Live Gallery?
Personally, I prefer WLG because of the integration with Windows and the support for colour profiles.
