UI is great especially when writing. Switch on the “Fullscreen” mode and you are left with a white page and your text, as in the screenshot below :

Just you and your text. Nothing more.

Coming back to today’s topic…

As you might have already noticed, Saturdays have become some special day of the week to play the lotto game. It is very common to see people lining up in front of the machine. A queue which usually keeps on growing if the jackpot is a big one.

But a few minutes ago, I drove to one of the retailers and to my surprise, no one.

I guess that Rs5million rupees is a too tiny sum. Greedy Mauritians!

Mauritians have already gone crazy since lototech started its activities in Mauritius. The company’s marketing strategy has really succeeded in promoting their products, which includes the lotto game and a whole set of scratch cards giving you the chance to win frm Rs20 to Rs100,000, and even cars!

The leader of Party Malin was indeed right when he once said during his previous electoral campaign :

“Mauriciens kant lever, dans place zotte gratte liziers, aster zotte p gratte cartes!”

The company has recently announced that they will now launch the 2nd edition of their “Millionaire” scratch cards which give you the possibility to win even more chances while turning the wheel.

As compared to the first edition, there will be now 6 chances (instead of 3) for the ticker to land on the Rs1Million jackpot as well as on other winnings (Rs750,000 - Rs500,000 - Rs200,000) and 12 new gains of Rs400,000 and Rs300,000.

I have something else to say : I haven’t purchased any Millionaire scratch card yet. What about you?

Presque une année après l’arrivée de La Loterie Nationale dans l’ile, la loterie verte a finalement décidé de changer de stratégie afin de faire face à  la rude concurrence. Pour rappel, la vente de la loterie gouvernementale a chuté drastiquement et si rien n’est fait, cette loterie longtemps incontournable des mauriciens risque de se trouver irradié du folklore mauricienne.

Une brochure informative a été publiée afin d’informer les parieurs des nouveautés qui seront appliquées à partir du 4 novembre 2010. Voici les points importants :

Nouveau système de tirage et prix (Tirage mensuel)

Contrairement aux années précédentes, seuls le 1er(Rs10millions), 2eme(Rs5millions) et 3eme(Rs2millions) lots seront tirés. Les 4eme à 52eme prix (Rs25, 000 à chacun) iront aux chanceux qui détiennent les billets dont les 5 derniers numéros sont identiques au jackpot, c.à.d. le premier lot.

Ainsi, 52prix et un total de Rs14, 225,000 à chaque tirage.

Tirage de la deuxième chance

Ne jetez plus vos billets!

Désormais, un tirage aura lieu entre deux tirages mensuels. Tous les billets avec les 2 derniers numéros similaires au 2 derniers numéros du premier lot du tirage mensuel précédent seront automatiquement elligible pour ce tirage. Le(s) gagnant(s) partiront avec un minimum de Rs100, 000. Le nombre de gagnants pour le tirage de la deuxième chance seront annoncées juste après chaque tirage mensuel.
Cependant les résultats de ce tirage seront publiés lors du prochain tirage mensuel.
