Willing to get yourself vaccinated against the flu?

While the authorities are making daily press conferences to announce measures taken to reduce Â H1N1 flu and trying to deny/cover up real figures about the number of people infected in Mauritius, vast vaccination campaigns are being carried out in the island. Officially, only 2 persons have died from H1N1 for the current period…

Some months earlier, only the elderly and other persons at risk were given access to the vaccine in our hospitals. However, as a precautionary measure, the Ministry of Health has now decided to provide free vaccination to every Mauritian. Today for example, government officers of the Emanuel Anquetil Building of Port Louis were invited to get vaccinated on the 5th floor, occupied by the Ministry of Heath.

Don’t know about you but I like this awareness campaign advert constantly shown on TV.

For those who don’t watch MBC :
A guy and a girl are sitting in a garden, and the latter advises the guy how to protect himself from “you know what!”. Its all about basic hygiene tips for a better life. (btw, the above pic has nothing to do with the post, its simple the bench which is the common element lol)

And finally, only those who saw the advert will know what I am talking abt below :

We are in the 21th century isn’t it? Going to the doctor is outdated! That’s the reason why you should use the latest technology to check if you have been infected by H1N1

People, you should take it cool!

H1N1 is not bringing the end of the world. Sure, there are some death cases, but they are indirectly related to the disease.

Washing your hands regularly, No handshaking (or kisses) are simple ways that will help you to reduce the risk of getting infected!

Evitez tout contacte avec des personnes infectées ou avec des touristes.

C’est la seul façon pour eviter d’etre infecté par le virus H1N1. Les campagnes de prévention et d’information sont plus fréquentes ces jours ci surtout avec une soudaine augmentation du nombre des cas confirmées Ã Maurice.

Quelques jours de cela, nous étions “clean”, mais hier (Samedi 07/08/09), les autorités Mauriciennes avait récence 16 cas dont 8 touristes réunionnais en vacances dans l’ile. On compte déjà un premier mort suite aux complications indirectement lies Ã cette grippe. Il y a une grande probabilité que cette dernière (une vendeuse dans un magasin)Â a peut être été en contacte avec quelqu’un transporte ce virus.

Pour rappel, le virus n’est pas mortel.
