yash . mo penC to bizin trouve par dela lhumour. mo dakor r toi li pas komik mais a la longue section “humour” dan ban journaux ine vine un mot de forme tout simplement ki pas vraiment reflete le contenu ki en fait tout simplement ene caricature. aster la ene caricature li kave ironique , comique et sinik. et meme comique li pas forcement ene zafer drole .. li kave ene comique de situation etc…et la dans ce cas cest ene gros ironie ki boug la ine faire et mo penC li rode reflete lhypocrisie des gens en general ki wadirer wer.. zordi zournee la fam alors zis zordi pas pou bate fam.. demain kave recomencer.. et surtout dont stress sur le mot “humour” dans le sens ki nou kne li. em fait li kave humour noir

Who gives a frak of the International Women’s Day? As if a day dedicated to bitches would make them more ‘respectable’ or…whatever the frak you wish they would be?

And then you’ve n00b5 talking about the need for female leaders and so on. Female leaders must be qualified in the fields they wish to lead. Gender is a non-issue in life in current times…except maybe for procreation (not for long though.)

What about beaten up bitches, you say? They are frakin’ weak for a number of reasons (society’s crisis of crises.) Dedicating 1 day to bitches won’t make them strong.

I think this is black humour in a sense. Some irony about how the world is celebrating Women’s Day and only for this day the sign non violence against women is like being applied.

It concurs with Sachin’s comment that it’s only this day that eyes are driven to the living conditions of women, that you will hear political figures delivering long speeches about the welfare of women in Mauritius while everyday may it be the 8 March or not women are being ill-treated…

It’s a deeper message than a joke, I believe.

Violence against women is still widespread in Mauritius in one form or another. One of the main factors is alcoholism in the male population which contributes to the deterioration of the family unit.

I wish to stress Sachin’s point too. But then, as a woman, maybe we are at fault to?Women, are still struggling for their equal footage today still. One example, today sitting in class at UOM, a good friend of mine, remarked that girls outnumbered boys in class. But the truth is that, few of us girls, did get to where we dreamed of, call that lack of determination from our part, misopportunities, wrong choices, or maybe misconceptions from men and women alike…so girls just don’t forget, that this day, is also to reflect on our past achievements, and what we still have to overcome in the future…beside the obvious,of course…
